described as a system which increases the energy
storage capacity of lithium batteries

Here we show the composition of segregated networks of
carbon nanotubes with a series of lithium storage materials (silicon particles,
graphite, and metal oxide) that suppress the mechanical instabilities when the
compound hardens, allowing the making of high performance electrodes with a
density up to 800 μm

According to scientists,
the new battery electrodes are a compound
of carbon nanotubes and lithium storage materials
 capable of
transferring energy with tremendous efficiency, only in theory. This will make batteries charge faster and to fully use the physical space they occupy.
